Nil by Mouth

The government inspector Mr Gosling (Eamonn Corbett) meets the staff at St Christopher’s Hospital - Sister Downing (Elaine Hodgson), Dr Chandler (Lyndon House), Sister Roughton (Caroline Drewett-Mansell), and nurses Layton (Jocelyn Guy) and Dolores (Fran Keirle).

The North London hospital of St Christopher’s is usually run like a well-oiled machine, but this particular weekend, due to under-staffing and a minor mistake, a remarkable chain of events is set in motion.

In ‘Nil by Mouth’ by John Chapman, trolleys go through the wards like buses, patients gets treated – but not for what they came in for – and a government inspector finds himself treating the patients with more success than the staff.

Bringing this hilarious comedy to life is Bruno Cook who previously directed ‘Allo Allo’ and  ‘The Darling Buds of May’ – so audiences can be sure they’re in a for real treat!

‘Nil by Mouth’ is at the Dolman Theatre from 18 – 22 January 2011
